GBAR Young Professional Network Raises Money to Help Boys and Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack Sensory Room Project

(Saddle Brook, N.J.) – The Greater Bergen Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network (YPN) hosted their second event of the year this past Wednesday, May 1st. Their event took place at The Plank Pizza Co Beer Parlor in Saddle Brook, NJ.

The event was built around raising money for the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack’s Sensory room project. Joseph Licatta, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi/Hackensack stated “The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lodi & Hackensack is honor to have the Greater Bergen County Association of Realtors as a partner in positively impacting the lives of those children who need us the most. They have put in their time, energy and resources to ensure that children in need get the best supports possible. We truly thank their Young Professionals Network for the time they put in volunteering and supporting our children. Together we are creating GREAT FUTURES for children in need.”

This year, the Young Professionals have made it a point to bring together the REALTORS together and to give back to the community through volunteerism and charitable donations. Co-Chairs, Nicola Espostio and Carlos Salazar stated "The Greater Bergen Association of Realtors' Young Professionals Network did it again - another successful event! What makes an event successful? The answer is our membership. With over 80 members of our Association joined together, to network and raise awareness. At this event we were able to raise over $2,500.00 for the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi & Hackensack, New Jersey. This money will be used to build a new Sensory Room, which is designed to develop positive change in students through interactive lighting, music and objects.”

Collectively this year, YPN has donated approximately $6,000.00 to local charities and non-profit organizations in Bergen County, all while building our networks and growing our Real Estate Businesses.

Nicola and Carlos continued, “As Co-Chairs of the YPN, it is an honor to be part of a dynamic group of Realtors who are committed to elevate the Real Estate Industry, by engaging our local communities through events like this one. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our Sponsors, Nelai Wright of Finance of America, Carlos Capellan of State Farm, Steve Grossman of NJ Lenders, and Jacqueline Villano Acres Title for supporting our initiatives. Without our sponsors, our ideas would never become tangible. As we move forward this year, we will continue to think big, have fun and work hard toward achieving our goals. Thank you, to all who attended!"
